India's own 'Indus Appstore' is coming, you will get these special features, the reign of Google Play Store will end
PhonePe is going to launch Indus Appstore on 21st February. Android will allow developers to list their apps in 12 Indian languages apart from English.
PhonePe's Indus Appstore: To download any app on mobile phone, users always have to go to Google Play Store, but now Google's monopoly on Play Store is about to end. Because, PhonePe is going to launch the app store on 21st February. According to the news of Moneycontrol, PhonePe is about to launch Indus Appstore.
PhonePe is preparing vigorously for this new venture. The company's website shows that it has onboarded apps like Flipkart, ixigo, Domino's Pizza, Snapdeal, JioMart and Bajaj Finserv. In November 2023, Indus Appstore announced an alliance to include apps from leading real-money game developers Dream11, Nazara Technologies, Gamescraft and Mobile Premier League (MPL).
With 12 languages, Indus Appstore allows Android developers to list their apps in 12 Indian languages other than English, along with permission to upload media and videos to their app listings in these languages. The special thing is that this app marketplace will not charge any fee on in-app purchases compared to the 15-30 percent charged by Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
This app is also expected to be available on Indus Appstore website. Users can download and sideload the app on their smartphones from here. Another feature of this app store is that it will also offer mobile number-based login system to users without email accounts.
